A new musical recipe...
Electronic music in a class of its own
Take... a pair of brothers, a great deal of passion for music, the right amount of feeling and mix it all with rhythm, spice it up with South African musical flavours and you get
Mon Tsunami
For me... one of the most promising music duos of the next generation.
London seems like a shining star in the established music sky. Even there, brothers Joey and Spike Horrox offer a new, refreshing alternative in electronic music.
What is different? Mon Tsunami combine their music with South African sounds. The result is lyrical, rhythmic mixtures that are ear-catching and you won't want to miss them.
It is fascinating how sensitive this music is. Everything is in tune. The rhythm is appealing and not too fast. You can listen and enjoy. And you are swept along. Waves of music carry you away.
For insiders, it is Gqom, Afro Tech & Afro House. The brothers collaborate in their upcoming release with Afro Tech pioneers “Motifixx” and vocalist “Mahle”.
BBC Radio 1 immediately recognized the unstoppable talent and supported Mon Tsunami from the beginning. They were invited to Udine, Italy, as DJs at the beginning of the year and were celebrated. Further invitations in Europe followed. The next big event is scheduled for October.
They conquer hearts and put a smile on our faces.
